I bought this TV at Costco right when it came out and have been using it in my bedroom for a few weeks. The TV is great in terms of size and picture quality and especially inputs which is why I bought it.
That said there are three problems for me.
The first is minor and that is that the bezel lights up to show the vizio logo and touch buttons. The light is quite bright and does not dim while you are watching the TV so it is pretty distracting, especially the logo which is large.
The second is my main problem and that is that the TV is just too loud. I use it in my bedroom and, when it is quiet, a volume of 1 is bordering on too loud. If you kick it up to 2 or 3 it is REALLY loud. A volume of 10 or more is ear-shattering even when not in a quiet room. This is very strange and seems almost like some sort of software bug where the entire volume range is shifted to the left. HDMI inputs having basically no signal loss are even louder than the A/V and Component inputs.
The third problem is that this TV doesn’t seem to have a zoom function to allow letter-boxed 4:3 shows to fill the screen. This is a problem if you are using any video sources where this can occur (I have it hooked up to a TiVo series2 for instance)
So I really want to like this TV but the volume problem is becoming a deal-breaker for me. I tried contacting customer support by email and got no response as well so if that sort of thing matters to you take that into consideration.

I bought this tv for my college dorm room. The picture quality is excellent, which is what I expected. What I didn’t expect was the great sound quality. Taking into consideration that this tv is so small and thin, the speakers are good enough that you don’t need a set of external speakers. My tv isn’t super loud like the other review says, so I guess he just got unlucky and got a defective one. I use this tv to play xbox and as a computer monitor (both using HDMI) and it works great for both purposes. Although the stand looked a little unstable to me, after setting it up I found that it works just as well as any other stand. Would have been perfect if it had one more HDMI port.
