Wisconsin is a dump “Music lover” (Florida) –

This review is from: Philips 40PFL5708/F7 40-Inch 1080p 60Hz LED TV (Black) (Electronics)
The Big “C” with 6 letters in its name has this 40″ HDTV for $350. It’s a steal! Clean design, semi-matte display, thin bezel, no goofy and distracting logos or reflective chrome or silver strips like some HDTV’s have, it’s easy to use, and super easy to update firmware with a USB flash drive. Picture quality is excellent and the other reviewer should realize that there’s barely any HDTV’s out there below $500 that I know of which have a true 120Hz refresh rate. I’m watching the Winter Olympics right now and motion is terrific- and that’s after I turned off all of the motion gimmick settings. This is not a “Smart” HDTV as there is no built-in WiFi, but my Blu-Ray player already has that. This set has 3 HDMI inputs, component input, and VGA input. The digital output is coaxial instead of optical (if you hook it up to a sound bar, your sound bar might not have a coaxial digital input). It has lots of picture settings and if you’re looking for a great set for a low price, here it is. No dead pixels and screen uniformity is terrific! The Olympics and Blu-Rays look awesome. I use this in my bedroom and it is perfect! If you’re looking for a great picture, easy to use HDTV with a clean design, snag this baby!

Contrary to the knuckle heads review that thinks the 60Hz input voltage frequency is the same at the video input freq. this is a very nice 120 Hz 1080p 40in TV. I picked mine up for $350 @ Costco and haven’t looked back. Makes my DIRECTV HD channels and Blu-ray’s pop, audio could be better but this is typical in any of these with the speakers firing out the bottom. So with that I only give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
