I had previously purchased a 42LH90 (full array backlit LED) and a 26LE5300 (edge lit LED). All LG sets have great picture quality. I am a convert form 30 years of owning SONY TVs. As with most of the new sets, they are weak in the sound arena unless you connect to an external sound system. I purchased the 19 inch LE for a small bedroom but may end up using it in the kitchen. Again, outstaning picture!

One of only a few TV’s in this size to have an IPS panel that has super wide viewing angles. Run don’t walk away from the other cheap TN panel sets on the market.

One review remarked about non-tilt stand …. I can’t see why tilt would be needed with the wide view angles this set has.

Sound is more than adequate for use in kitchen environment where we have ours.

BUT …. where the heck is the LSW100BG mount from LG that the manual says is needed to wall mount? The back has such close clearance needs that this mount is required. Can’t find it anywhere.

P.S. Item shipped from Adorama …. very fast and double boxed.

UPDATE AFTER 2 Months Ownership: TV has on 3 occasions spontaneously gone to full volume for NO reason. The remote control then becomes inoperable. Only way to fix it is to unplug the set from the wall. Then on re-power on things will be back to normal and the remote will function.

This past weekend while watching a dvd via an LG player on DVI connection, volume would not work via the remote or front panel buttons. The MENU button on the remote would also not work. Same resolution of unplugging from the wall and restarting the tv was required to correct.

Will be following up with LG warranty dept today.

I also will mention I had purchased the 22LE5300 at the same time as the 19″ for use in a different room. That TV has been fine.

I was disappointed in this new LG LED 19″ TV. The speakers, no matter how I adjust them, are tinny. Facing the small speakers out the back is part of the problem.

I was also amazed to discover that the stand would not tilt; I had to modify it myself to allow for this. Who in LG thinks a counter-top TV should always be at 90 degrees??
