Mustang SC-F84W4:3 84-Inch Fixed Screen

I have owned a 92inch mustang screen for over a year now. I have previously owned a homemade screen with blackout cloth, a dalite pulldown and finally an Optoma pull down before I bought this. Assembling the unit was straightforward. The frame sections slide together and thumbscrews permanently mounted on the back hold the sections together. This is the only weakness in my opinion. The frame sections did not slide together tightly enough to prevent a slight gap at two sections of the frame. Although the gap was small, on the order of 1/16inch or less, it did allow some frame flex. As far as the material, it is a perfectly smooth polyester type material. It is wonderful in my opinion as it seemed to make a significant improvement in overall sharpness. The material is somewhat thin and allows some light to pass through, so I took an L-shaped piece of aluminum and mounted it to the top of the frame and hung black fabric over the back of the screen. This made a big difference and improved the black levels also.
For a reasonable amount of money and a little diy added in, you can make this screen perform beyond its price.
