Awesome HDTV!,
I don’t know what everyone’s deal is with busting on LG, but everything my friends have had from LG has stood up to some serious abuse! This TV is great. With the high contrast ratio, and probably the fatest refresh rate I’ve seen, it’s too good to pass up. The price doesn’t hurt either. I got lucky and got this as an open box item at Best Buy, for the price of the 32″ version.
Image – 10
Sound – 8, not bad at all, but not outrageously good or anything
Fast-moving images – 10! It works great when I play Halo 3
Normal TV isn’t too bad, especially with the normal size aspect ratio. I can’t wait to have HDTV on this thing. Highly recommended thus far. I will update if anything goes bad.

A Great Buy,
I purchased this TV at Future Shop (Canada’s answer to Best Buy) and have no regrets. It was my first foray into HD TVs and I did quite a bit of research before settling on it. I purchased an open box version and got quite a good deal on it. We use it with a Toshiba HDDVD + upscaling DVD along with a Playstation 2, a Wii and HD Cable. It performs very well in any of these applications. The picture is bright and sharp even though the TV faces a very large window. The blacks are black and the color is brilliant. Immediately after we purchased it we used it to watch the second half of the Planet Earth DVDs (we had watched the first half on our Sony CRT) and the difference was like night and day.
The only downside we’ve found is with the close captioning using the HD cable. If you Google it you’ll find the solution, but it’s not too easy getting the captioning working and is a pain to turn on and off. But that’s really our only concern with it.
I have no trouble recommending this one. We love it.
