Outstanding Picture Quality
With a unique 1280 x 1080 resolution, the P55T551 has over 1,000 lines of vertical resolution, allowing it to have a line-for-line match of incoming 1080i TV signals. While it is not the full 1080p resolution, it has a better resolution than 720p panels at a similar price. Picture quality is further enhanced, thanks to ClearWindow technology that reduces the visibility of a grid structure and maximizes brightness and clarity.

excellent value,
I have had this tv for almost two years & it has NEVER had any problems. The picture quality is outstanding, the panel is gorgeous & the features are numerous. I love the PIP capability which is rare in recent tv’s & nmot even mentioned in most ads! I always find it interesting that the PIP feature is not promoted or even included in most “large display” sets, because when you have this much room that is the beauty of it! If there was one thing I wish the tv had was a VGA (or SVGA) connector for connecting to a computer.
